Privacy Policy

Fikra Studio is a small team of independent developers (“we”, “us”) that designs, builds and publishes its own Android apps. This policy covers this website and every app we publish, currently:
- LandLord — Property Manager (rent & tenant tracking)
- OutdoorReady — air quality, UV & weather readiness
- Universal TV Remote — WiFi remote control for smart TVs
Each app only collects what it needs to work. The table below says exactly what each app stores, where it goes, and why — nothing is shared beyond what's listed here.
1. What each app collects
LandLord
- Account — email address and display name, via Supabase Authentication (email and password), so your data follows you across devices. We ask you to confirm your email address on sign-up.
- Property, tenant & payment records you enter — property addresses, tenant names and phone numbers, rent amounts and payment history. This is the core data of the app and is stored in our Supabase (PostgreSQL) database in the cloud, scoped to your account only through row-level security, and cached locally on your device.
- Biometric lock — if you enable app-lock, your fingerprint/face check is handled entirely by your device's OS. We never receive or store biometric data ourselves.
- Exports — CSV/PDF reports you generate are saved to your device's local storage; we don't receive a copy.
- No analytics or advertising SDK — LandLord doesn't track your in-app behaviour for advertising and contains no ad networks or third-party analytics trackers.
If you add a tenant's name or phone number, you are responsible for having their permission to store that information for the purpose of managing your rental — the app is a record-keeping tool for the account holder (the landlord).
OutdoorReady
- Location — precise or approximate device location (with your permission), used only to fetch weather/air-quality/UV data for where you are or a city you search for. Location is sent to the weather API providers below to get a forecast; we do not store a history of your location on any server.
- Saved locations & health profile — cities you save and optional health info (e.g. asthma, allergies) you choose to enter, stored locally on your device only (Room database / DataStore) — never uploaded to us.
- No account, no analytics SDK — OutdoorReady doesn't require sign-in and doesn't include any analytics or advertising SDK.
- Notifications — local air-quality alerts generated on-device from cached data; no push server involved.
Universal TV Remote
- No account, no personal data collected. The app doesn't ask for your name, email, or location.
- Local network only — the app uses your WiFi network state to discover and control TVs on the same network (Samsung, LG, Roku, Android TV, Fire TV, Vizio, Sony, Panasonic, Philips, VIDAA). Commands go directly from your phone to your TV over your local network — never through our servers.
- Purchases — if you buy Pro, Google Play Billing handles the transaction; we receive only a purchase confirmation (no card details) to unlock Pro features.
2. Third-party services we rely on
- Supabase (Authentication & PostgreSQL database) — used by LandLord for account sign-in and cloud sync of your data. Data is hosted on Supabase's infrastructure in the EU (Supabase's privacy policy).
- Google Play Billing — used by apps that offer a paid Pro tier, to process subscriptions/purchases.
- Open-Meteo & OpenStreetMap Nominatim — used by OutdoorReady to fetch weather/air-quality data and turn city searches into coordinates. Your search query or coordinates are sent to these providers to get a result; we don't control their servers (Open-Meteo terms, OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy).
We do not use any advertising SDK, ad network, or third-party tracker in any app. None of our apps show ads.
3. We do not sell your data
We never sell or rent your personal data to anyone, for any app. We don't share it for advertising or marketing by third parties. Data only goes to the specific services listed above, only as needed to run the app, or where the law requires it.
4. Security
Data in transit uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). LandLord's cloud data is protected by row-level security so only your authenticated account can read or write your own records. OutdoorReady and Universal TV Remote keep their data on your device by default. No system is 100% secure, but we keep what we store to the minimum each app needs.
5. How long we keep it
LandLord — we keep your account and property/tenant/payment data while your account is active. If you delete your account in-app, we delete your cloud database records and local cache, except records we must keep for legal or accounting reasons.
OutdoorReady & Universal TV Remote — since there's no account, data lives only on your device. Uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage) removes it. Weather/location queries are not retained by us after the request completes.
6. Your rights & account deletion
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you at any time — email hello@fikrastudio.xyz and we'll handle it. LandLord also has an in-app "Delete account" option that removes your cloud data directly. You can manage or cancel any subscription directly in the Google Play Store.
7. Children
Our apps are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll remove it.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as we add apps or features. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do, and note major changes to what data an app collects in that app's Play Store listing.
